I need to find my old Ultimate Guide. It looks a lot like some sort of Bible; black hardback cover, gold-trimmed pages, gold lettering, even a little lanyard for marking your page.

Oh, I have one of those.  Quite possibly my best purchase to date.

... Wish I knew where I put it, though.

Played Pathfinder with some friends yesterday, which was fun. First boss was killed before they could even start their villain monologue by our fighter. One-hit-KO.

Second was a white dragon, which was killed in only three rounds. But not before it picked up the mage, blasted him in the face, then dropped him a few hundred feet off the ground. Which failed because of the mage's reflex and evasion, plus his access to the feather-fall spell.

The final boss was a giant ooze. Which was a bit of a pain, since they are immune to critical hits and just about everyone in the party is using a critical build. Plus it was intelligent. Charismatic, even. It was some sort of evil extra-planar slime, so the paladin helped make short work of it.

Still though, with a charisma of 16, it was one sexy amorphous blob.

Thank Gilgamesh for unscrupulous farmer's market vendors. Those peppers I mentioned a while back that turned out to be far hotter than advertised (much to my delight) are coming in handy against this stuffed up nose. WHAT NOW, SINUS CAVITY? WHAT NOW!

The last book was really strange, it was like he had given up caring for the series and just wanted everyone to die.
