PROS
-Awesome plot/premise
-Detailed 'magic' laws
-Setting is good
-Doesn't fall into the predicament plaguing fantasy series where they ignore actual medieval/Renaissance politics
-The male characters are varied and likeable
CONS
-Way too much pointless rambling
  -Especially from the female characters about how dumb men are
    -A lot of the female characters could have their names switched around and all statements pertaining to appearance/backstory and you'd never notice the difference
-I've heard a few of the books kind of accidentally don't talk about the actual main characters at all

(I'd add more but I only just got around to Crown of Swords, the 7th book, and even then via audiobook due to lacking a physical book at the moment)

8/10 would read again

Um. Depending on the sport it might as well BE combat.

Anyway, I did some thinking and I think the trickiest part of a Harvest Moon MMO would be the bachelors/bachelorettes. You can't have everyone on a 20,000 player server marrying the same ten-twenty people. That would be silly. Instead you would need to generate a list of candidates - including personality, appearance, likes/dislikes, birthday, job, and possibly family - for each player. You would also need a reason for there being nearly 20,000 farms all over the place.
