I'd like a pause button on my rewind-o-mote.

Last day off ever. Best make the most of it!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Can't have days off if you don't have a job!

Although, I am kidding, I will have a job again in a bit, but it is my last day off from this job, and in this city, and I'm not even close to done packing and cleaning.

Spoiler: Rewind discussion (click to show/hide)

Anyway, current, tangible happy: I just went out wearing my fancy freakin' jacket.
That might not sound like such a huge accomplishment, but it's rather dressy (as well as awesome-looking) and I was very worried that it'd end up just hanging on my shelf for years with me not having the courage to wear it anywhere. And I didn't even freak out while I was wearing it! Heck yeah! :D

WOO. Multiplayer Lost Planet 2 is so much more fun than singleplayer, not to mention a damn sight easier. Especially the Railway Gun level. Holy shit that was fun.
I keep telling people that game is fun but they don't believe me. :S
Lost Planet 2 is great fun. Not a very deep or complex shooter, but it scratches that itch when you just want to shoot stuff and have fun and there's no school in your neighborhood

Ah the great message of the movie Click.

If the dumbass had just used the pause instead of fast-forwarding through everything, he woulda been super awesome at errything.

Oh, and welcoming Molly Renata to the wider forums because I haven't seen her before. HI MOLLY!

Yeah, that ending made me really hate the main character. Rewind, Pause (don't actually remember this being used), and Slow Motion never lead to any problems, yet he returns the remote anyway.

What a dumbass.

Well its an Adam Sandler movie, and Adam Sandler can't ever be even a moderately bad guy. Because Adam Sandler.

I'm always incredulous when people say he's a nice guy IRL because I can't imagine someone who plays nothing but "perfect" characters being anything but a douchebag.

Its not even that I hate the guy, I just can't see someone with those personality traits being a nice person. It boggles my mind and I get the sneaking suspicion he is a nasty piece of work behind closed doors.

Seriously. Dude's a moron.

"I need to get back to work but my wife wants sex, oh what a bother! I shall just fast-forward through it. What? Pause button so I can finish my work and then go enjoy sex with my horny wife? Bah! The devil you say?"

To be fair, the guy who gave him the remote is kind of a dick for not telling him that "Hey, anything you fast forward through will be fast-forwarded through every future time as well." AND that is kind of a weird feature, to be honest. Like, I can understand being ABLE to do that, but to make it the default setting with no option to "clear settings" and reset all the things turned to auto-FF? Kind of silly!

Well it was apparently a set up for a life lesson from an "angel"

So dickery is to be expected. I'm honestly surprised he was allowed to redo errything and didn't just have to live with his mistakes forever. Because Christian holy figures are so fond of that.
