More descriptively, it's a Japanese metal band with female vocalists and male instrumentalists (who are notorious for always appearing in masks). They're pretty righteous and have a fairly distinctive sound. I think that Erock guy included snippets of their work in one of his recent mixes.

Oh man this Babymetal song combines the electronica vocaloid and dance sound with speed metal, heavy thrash chugs and death metal screams, and there's even a breakdown hip hop interlude in the middle. THE MIXING OF GENRES. YES. It's like music to my ears.
