Building an improvised forge and anvil to hopefully try metalworking on and it's startign to come together - got a deep disk brake to hold the charcoal as part of the forge and a anchor weight to act as the anvil.
It's starting to come together, and I haven't had to pay for anything yet! 

That sounds sweet as hell 
I may steal this as my summer project.

I blame 'murrica for forcing this kind of consumerism shit down out throats.
But it got my parents to buy me a reasonably nice suit so I'm not complaining.

Wait, you have GCSE year proms now? Huh. I had the college prom this year, and between 4 free bottles of wine per table and a table of non drinkers, i was able to have quite a good time despite the fact it was to me and my friends basically a celebration of never having to see most of those people again.

And as for GCSE...eh...I'll call it prom, though I dislike the word. It tends to be only for those schools that end after the GCSE exams. Other than that, it's sixth form formal.

If you want any info or pics, PM me. I'm interested in talking about it. Planning on making some knives out of steel. Considering a secondhand anvil of a decent size seems to go for 200 quid, you really have to improvise with something.
