Being an adult is realizing that the freedom to make all of your own decisions includes the virtual obligation of making a lot of decisions that you don't like, including surrendering the vast majority of your freedom to assholes with whom you share something between ambivalence and mutual hatred. AKA being an adult is having the capacity to do all the things you wanted to do as a child, but realizing that you can't do the vast majority of them for a variety of reasons. :|
