Heh. Picked up the Ghostbusters video game, and holy shit, is it fun. It's by no means the best game I've ever played, but dammit, it's up there. I mean, what kid who saw Ghostbusters didn't want to strap on a nuclear backpack and fire streams of charged particles at incorporeal beings?

Because towards of the end of the game you get to fire things that aren't streams of charged particles. I remember there's the stasis beam and the goo and I guess something else but I can't recall what it was.

I went to a bookshop in a nearby town that's basically two old houses conjoined, and crammed with shelves upon shelves of books. The place in and of itself was cool, but what made me REALLY happy was the copy of the 1e AD&D Monster Manual II and thecopy of Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials I found there. Also found a complete set of Chanur novels, but I didn't get those because the Monster Manual + the guide set me back like 22 bucks. Didn't need another 20 or so dollars on top of that. But still. Jaaaaackpot.

So all I have left to do for university is graduate. Yay, unless I fail a test or coursework or my project that is already done but I haven't got the results back for yet so don't know but oh my I hope I did well I've been averaging 1sts in my courseworks and tests so far so hopefully these last ones keep the pattern but if they don't that'll suck and I still need to find a job and move out of my parents house which I'm back in again after living in a whole other city for 3 years since I was back for a year during my work placement and *passes out from not breathing*

Mixed feelings about finishing with university, but relief and happiness is definitely in there somewhere. Now all that's left is to graduate, get a job and my own flat and I'm like...a real adult or something. A real adult who can't get Let It Go from Frozen out of his head, and recently had a night where he and a bunch of friends just watched Disney films whilst drinking alcohol. But guess all I have to do is let it go, let it go...

Nah, I'm not actually all concerned about "oh no I'm an adult nooo" or "must be adult and act like a proper adult". Mostly overplaying things for comedic effect It's both intimidating and liberating to no longer have that "carrot" of education leading the direction I go in. Now it's the carrot of "money". Much more useful ;P

I quite like the ending text to MacHall: "When I was a child, I spoke like a child. Thought like a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things. But I unpacked most of them when I got there."

I increased thinking about whether or not I was an adult when I was about 12. This coincides with when I discovered that getting older sucks, I didn't want to watch my parents die and that I really didn't want to make hard decisions. Your definition of an adult is off, Descan, because I have never wanted to be an adult, and thus will always care

Presumably, however, I will eventually cross the hurdle into adult hood. But it is not this day!
