I finally rewrote my picture-story in short story format.

It feels amazing to couple drawings with words.
Which story is that?
Something I wrote and coincidentally made art for (well ok no, I made a story from all those random art thingies I drew; now completed all the drawings needed for the tone and wording) and had help from Skyrunner in writing critique and wording editing.

And now I'm happy I could transform it into fully worded project grade (hopefully A) material. :D
Still, when my parents read it. They were *thumbs-up* so I'm happy whatever way.
Now I want to read that story too.

Are you planning on posting it here at all?
.__.

Um, ok. When I get this format finished :x
I hilariously made the original printable...back to back (so first print pages 1,3,5,7,9...then invert all the paper you used in printing it and print 2,4,6,8...) because wow, I've no idea what I was thinking.
Economical use of paper?

Sadly this is connected with my loss of USB a long time ago--hence why I posted the note in happy thread (because YAY reconstruction of everything lost and curse whoever stole that USB  and probably may use said Story.doc for their own purposes which may be malevolent :I and if not, yay for your free USB >_>)
...
Err, right. Sure. I'll post it up here someday. Dunno where though. :x

Tir, speaking of USB thefts, you should try to have all the content on your next USB written in the forbidden speech of The Old Ones. That way you'll quickly find the thief by all the giant mosters tearing their way into reality near his location.

Coincidentally a very cunning form of social hacking involves allowing a person to "find" a USB loaded with trojans, so the crafty thief could just be screwing themselves. Whose stealing from who anyways?

Yea my college actually used to have a policy where they would ask students to put a 'lost and found' file in their USB sticks so if it ever gets found by the janitors or security it can be returned to the student quickly.

There was a big virus outbreak on all the staff systems a few years ago and shortly after we were instead instructed to go to the security office when we think we lost something at the school and not to expect them to contact us.

Coincidence?

I have returned from Ireland!

Trip was great. So many interesting historical bits just scattered around the land. The people were quite nice, the food was good, and we survived driving on Irish roads. :P

Exhausted by the journey back, and especially because the cat decided that he didn't want us to sleep since we'd been gone so long. But I had a great time.

Now to catch up on everything that I've missed this week.

(Also, San Diego tried to burn itself down while we were gone but was nice enough not to burn any of our stuff. So that's nice.)

That's great to hear! As I watched the fires burn (mostly through the news cause I don't live close enough), I was hoping that your stuff was not being burned.

Thanks! Nice to know I was being thought of. :)

We didn't pay attention to anything in the states while we were gone, had no internet, and no phone access, so we didn't actually know about the fires until we got back. Which probably kept us from stressing about it while we were gone.

Nature. California is regularly hit by wildfires. It wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for all the people living here :P

Dear god, the Irish two-lane country roads. I'm pretty sure there was a (two way) road at multiple points that was narrower than any one-lane road you'd find in the States.

We found some one-lane country roads. That was fun when a car wanted to come the other way. But everyone was polite about it, so it wasn't too bad.

The Ring of Kerry, though, with Tour Buses barreling along windy cliffside roads...that got a bit more worrysome.
