Hm... June 22, 2010, 04:08:54 pm

And I lurked a lot both before and after registering. Still do. I'm a chronic lurker. :P

I'd feel dirty for cheating on Aurora with another obscure, obtuse, incredibly detailed 4X if I wasn't having so much fun.

I am surprised to see someone else has heard of Stars! though. :) I enjoy it, but am unsure if I want to go through the effort of setting up a VM for it.

I've been meaning to get into it for a while, and that put me off as well, but it was actually pretty simple once I stopped fiddling with DOSBox. I used Virtualbox to set things up, so it only took about five minutes (apart from installing XP), and Microsoft has freely available ISO downloads for a lot of their old operating systems, including XP. Maybe half an hour from first downloading VB and the ISO to the point where I had the game running.  :)

Today I had dinner in the town that harbors the longest tapestry in the world! :D
(Actually, maybe not the longest, but still 70 metres long and stored in a fairly cool cathedral. Didn't get the chance to see it, though.)

Normandy is pretty cool so far, tomorrow we're going to visit the war beaches and the Mont Saint-Michel.

What kind of job?
I assume something involving mathematical education.

You assume right, considering her post says that.
