Just got a letter in the mail from the most expensive university in the state that I've been granted a rather substantial scholarship that my school counselors nominated me for.   Not big enough to pay for going there, but combined with the automatic state scholarships and the money my grandparents have saved for me it is enough to make it a viable option.  More importantly, however, it has given me a good confidence boost in being able to get scholarships.

I bet Obama was totally getting his whole family ready to fly there and eat at that cafe. They were gonna do that secret tipper thing where you leave 10000 polushkas or whatever for the waitress. But then a Secret Service guy came up holding his ear and said, "Mister President, I have received word that the owners of the cafe will not serve you." Obama at once became sombre, and thought long and hard about lifting the sanctions. Finally, after many weeks of deliberation, of arguing with his staff, or dismissing generals and executive assistants, he stepped up to the podium and addressed the world.

"We are all, today, people. And people make mistakes. Conflict will happen, and we can do nothing better than try to end it, by extending the hand of peace and friendship. This lesson was taught to me, by the owners of <insert shitty cafe>, who taped a laser-printer picture of me in their window, inside a Ghostbusters symbol."

If I was the President or a congressman, I would totally fly there, go into the cafe disguised as someone else, then reveal myself and flip the bird at the owners before fleeing.

Lying here, having woken up at around 4:30AM, I just had one find its way onto my bed, crawl around on me for a while, then wander off and start knocking things off my desk. Then I got it to jump onto my shoulder, and carried it over to the lounge room.

Where it promptly tried to jump to the TV and fell off. >.>
Oh well, it didn't seem overly worried.
