You will, of course, be RPing as yourself, right?

My happy is that I have approximately one full-length hair on my chin. Until further notice, I will be calling it my goatee and stroking it while  chuckling evilly.

Received a text message from the ex the other day:

"The kids are building a cardboard time machine powered by tomatoes."

That's how you know you haven't completely fucked up as a parent.  :D

* kaijyuu hopes his future kids do similar things.

Though knowing my wife, they'll probably be sacrificing tomatoes to dark gods instead.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Does your kid wear a red-and-black striped shirt and has spiky yellow hair?

Happy: Lucked out hugely on GoG's Luck of the Irish sale. Pay $2, get virtually anything on the site at random from what I can tell. I get Paynekiller Black Edition, System Shock 2, and the entire Penumbra Collection. Hell yeah.

Had a pretty nice evening with my crush. We sat in her basement and watched a few movies together, and had dinner with her parents. Got about halfway through the second movie before her parents gave me the boot, and only then because they had to give me a ride home and didn't want to be up so late to do so. She was quite disappointed that I had to leave so early ;).

Why do you keep calling her 'crush'? Sounds like she's your girlfriend to me...

Last time we had any sort of discussion in that direction, she made sure to say we were "friends". Since we haven't yet said anything different, I don't consider us to be anything more yet. I should probably have a serious talk with her soon about that, though.

I guess the difference between "friends" and "boyfriend/girlfriend" is that the latter tends to have more hugging, kissing, and Iloveyous than the former.

I only wish I had photos.

S'okay, my kids finally met my significant other for the first time a few weeks ago. My son (who just turned 4) immediately began telling her about dragons who shoot blood from their eyes (horned toads, actually) and how if you're going to cook them, you have to make sure all the blood is out first so they're okay to cook.

A. I have no idea WHERE THE FUCK he came up with that.
B. I have no idea why he would just start telling this to a (relative) stranger.
C. She thought it was adorable rather than incredibly disturbing.

This is how my kids are. I hope they never outgrow that weirdness.  :P

Considering this is Bay 12, the idea of a dragon shooting out blood from its eyes doesn't seem all that outlandish to me. :P

That sort of made my day :P

That and the fact that I'm feeling rather great today. No idea why, but yay! (Well, actually I do have a suspicion but I can't really be arsed to put it into words properly because when it comes to this specific sort of thing (not happy things in general) I'm fairly bad at putting it into words.)

I normally really dislike kids, but I love stuff like that. My cousin told me last Christmas that Santa had the ability to shoot lasers from his eyes and would soon rampage through the little Christmas diorama at my grandmother's house.

So, turns out I do have emotions. Cool.
What's it like?
The specific experience was less than pleasant, but it's god to know I'm not a sociopath.
