That's ok, when I picture the Great Lakes cities and the whole Northeast I imagine Megacity One.
I can verify that it doesn't look like copypasta here.

But only because building decay and vandalism doesn't happen symmetrically.

Yeah those evenly-spaced tall buildings are a building code mistake, they're supposed to be like the rest but the city appraiser's map had jpeg artifacts.

Robots all getting off work and going to the robot strip joint to oogle an old washing machine that's been set up on stage. After loudly finishing the rinse cycle the washer clunks to a stop and sprays the crowd with soapy water. They are enchanted. One robot-salaryman confides in her, drunkenly, that he would leave his robot wife (who is a reliable counter-mounted bread mixer with dough hook) if the washing machine would run away with him to live in Kitakyushu. The washer lets him have his dream as she just barely makes a lap dance happen. The sun sets over Kyoto's fuming skyline, jets of flaming exhaust flaring upward off the arcologies, and the sky darkens to television static.
Japan confirmed for being Futurama.
Have they outsourced manufacturing bending robots over to Mexico?

Ontario is raising the minimum wage, and more importantly, tying it to inflation.

It's not as great as an poverty level-pegged basic income, but it's something.

I am just astounded that there are developed nations that haven't done this yet.
Seriously, every time government produces a flat rate such as minimum wage or debt cap, it should include a provision saying that it either scales with inflation or has an expiry date.

Started my day at home.
By lunchtime I was in San Francisco.
Now I am in Nevada.

Good, productive day. As long as the weather cooperates, I can keep this up.

Speaking of weather, how's the snow (or lack of) been for you Sirus?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Been lucky so far. Only got actually snowed-on twice. On the second occasion late last month it was fairly light and the snowplows were busy pretty much non-stop. Only really had to slow to a crawl on hills and still managed nearly 600 miles that day.

The first time was back in freaking September (or possibly October. It was early for the area in any case), and it cemented my dislike of snow driving possibly for eternity. Got stuck in the mountains in stationairy traffic for 2 hours, as snow began piling up all over the place. Eventually a plow managed to carve out a single lane to get us moving again, but it was very slick, very slow work. I couldn't go more than about 10 mph without starting to lose traction.

School is never cancelled because of snow in Belgium.
The only thing snow ever cancelled for me was a christmas party with my family.

If it ever snows in Darwin you should get to a fallout shelter, because it would take a nuclear winter for that to happen...

Patrolling the outback makes me wish for a nuclear winter.
