Had a dream about ideals (in the mathematical sense), dreaming up an exercise.
Turns out the thing I had to prove is true!
(But not very interesting.)
I wish I had dreams like that.

I woke up to someone (prank-)calling me about how my mom got in a car accident, is now in the hospital, and may not survive the night.
Fuck you subconsciousness!

I once had a dream as a child where I was walking with mom down a street when I looked at a shop and when looked back she was gone and there was the grim reaper in her place.

I... I didn't even know the grim reaper existed back then, when I woke up, I cried and cried but my mom came in and calmed me down.
Either my subconscious implemented later memories into previous dreams to make me even more screwed up and the grim reaper was something else, or the grim reaper literally sent me a message.

Or you'd caught a glimpse of the Grim Reaper in a cartoon or something before then, so the image was in your head, but you just weren't aware yet of its name or cultural significance.

Well, your brain will happily edit memories to include things that never happened. It happens pretty much constantly.

My thumb just stopped hurting now for the first time in ~two weeks!
...but it'll probably start up again just now. Oh well. At least it feels good for now!

Edit: ...and there it goes.

So I got my christmas gifts... suprinsingly, no sweaters :P

I got an ample supply of dark chocolate (dark chocolate + coffee = blissss), and two books: 'Inferno' by Dan Brown (hopefully will be better than Da Vinci's Code) and 'Air War', a part of 'Shadows of the Apt' by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Never heard of the author nor the series, and by misunderstanding my sister bought the 8th part of the cycle instead of the 1st.

Still, I wonder if any of you bay12ers have any experiences with this series/author? If the 8th part turns out good, I might be inclined to get the earlier parts...

There was risk of working today, and I narrowly avoided it. Of course, more (house)work remains until tonight before the onslaught of Christmas wrapping paper and Christmas Eve leftovers to clean up later on.

Right now, the most difficult of tasks to get done must be taken care of: my room. It's not that it's a difficult cleanup job, it's that everytime I start it, or make any amount of progress on it, there's ALWAYS interference that prevents it from ever getting done, or looking anywhere along the definition of 'clean'. Add insult to injury, it's a total of 1 hour's amount of work, and it takes gorram forever to finish it off.
