Just woke up from a wonderful dream starring Ellie (from TLoU), Owen Wilson, and at one point two of my beloved cats, one of whom is deceased. They never met in life, so that made it especially touching. Unfortunately I don't remember too much about that part of the dream.

Still, at least I remembered some of my dreams, unlike most nights. Now the only problem is the dream being preferable to reality, and making it a shame to wake up. :-/ Truth be told, I was going to post this in the Sad thread until I realised how insignificant a sad it was.

Happy Festivus everyone!  Let's hold the Airing of Grievances because I've got a lot of problems with you people.

My grievance against you is that I have no grievances. What do you say to that, eh?

Happy Festivus to thee.

I actually had to stop the video a couple of times because I was laughing too hard to remain upright.

...Festivus?
*researches*
Huh, recent ideology.
Well happy Airing of Grievances because I'm happy to not have any to anyone. You silly people, holding onto grudges like that. Happy Festivus! :P

Just saw The World's End.... that was fucking amazing.  I wasn't expecting something so fantastic.  Most refreshing thing I've seen since Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

This is late, but even though I missed the opportunity to actually post in the correct thread for it, it got me thinking. I think I'm going to try and set a concrete list of goals for the coming year. I've never done it before, and I've lately found that having a list like that really helps me get things done, at least on a smaller scale. All my biggest efforts in life have been big, amorphous things that I've been aimlessly trying to grapple, or long courses of instructions that I only need to carry out by rote in order to earn somebody else's approval. I always wind up withering on the former, and I think maybe the reason I've been able to succeed is the latter is knowing what it is I need to do, instead of just latching onto whatever part feels right at the time.

So, yeah, I'll give this resolution thing a try. 12 sounds like a good number, too.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Small thing I learned to get much done in life is to set goals..Paves a way as your 'what do I really want to do' list in between the stuffs of daily life.

So happy, finally got my sis a fitting present. She just got back from an overseas trip which involved heavy hiking, so I paid for a massage/reflexology treatment. Hopefully she'll like it!

Had a dream about ideals (in the mathematical sense), dreaming up an exercise.
Turns out the thing I had to prove is true!
(But not very interesting.)
