Also, I beat Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal as a Paladin.

Nope. The choice was, "Become a god and ascend to the realm of the Immortal, or stay here with your friends." You could like, watch over them and stuff, I believe, but you couldn't bring them with.
