Yeah, the game itself is pretty basic and turn-based. I bet I could beat it given enough time.

Seems to build on a roguelike called "The Tower" that I found a while ago which had a similar 3D rendered ASCII display...

IIRC, Tower is essentially 3D nethack. It's a much better game.
