BEEEEEEER!!!!!

After what seems like an eternity I have tasted the divine liquid again, only for it to be cruely taken away again, because in all my ignorance, I believed one can would suffice, oh woe is me for I was wrong!!!

Still, it's pretty good to have a can, better than nothing atleast :D

So I tried out this free MMO, Spiral Knights. It's completely subpar in every way without going into details, but I got to play a bit with my old friend that I thought I'd simply drift away from. It was a very nice way to pass the time if I say so myself.

Yeah. It's a good game. And you get a free TF2 hat for playing it.

Yeah, that was pretty much the only reason my friend and I started it up, for the shameless hat grab. I have to say though, the very best thing about the game is that you get an in-game mail from Saxton Hale written in his audacious manly man style. It kinda makes the rest of the game feel really weak in comparison since it's like this awesome outside element is just sticking it's big hand into this generically cutesy and uninspired game, and the juxtaposition is more than noticeable.

Been staying with a friend, and killing time watching him play Saints Row: The Third.

That is a spectacularly over-the-top game. I approve.

Playing Sandbox Galaxy and I just lowered Earth's velocity to such low speeds that it started speeding towards the sun. Fortunately for Earth, it missed by a very small margin - But it was still going fast enough to escape the sun's gravity well and slingshot out past Pluto at about 50 Km/S.

It's not often that a game makes me laugh out loud.

I had two bean and cheese burritos next to me, and they seem to have mysteriously disappeared without me consciously being aware of the fact.

* kaijyuu is actually rather proud of this.

Perhaps my steady 3 meals a day is increasing my appetite, as I was hoping.

I've been watching the original Star Trek in order. So far Kirk hasn't yet match up to the badassitude of Pike in the pilot (*sigh* what could have been); hopefully that improves. I'm also finding it interesting to note that old Star Trek bears much similarity to old sci-fi B movies.

That's largely because ToS had a similar budget to old B-movies. Wait until the Gorn (not that kind) episode. Or the one with the flying mind-control slime. Until then, enjoy the soft-focus vaseline-smeared lens shots.

In... all seriousness... Star... Trek... is not really about... the badass nature... of... Captain Kirk... so much as... the camp.
