And yeah, it was EU3. History takes a whole new turn when you're in charge of it. I managed to avoid the 100-years war, which is probably why I'm a century or so ahead of schedule in setting up the east india trade company and the colonies. If my island near india cores (it should soon) I'll be able to nab South Africa too, meaning I'll have ports all over the world and my navies will have nigh unlimited mobility without having to treaty Somalia!

After reading all the beard-related posts, I went to stroke my bearded chin thoughtfully, only to realize "wait, that's not my chin...it's my Adam's apple. Damn, I should probably trim up the beard."

I... think that's a compliment? The goatee will look better in a week, once it has grown in some more.

I think I'm gonna go for the non-maintenance look.

i.e. it grows. and I'm not gonna shave it in a particular fashion, just make sure it stays a certain length. can't do with a foot long beard. I'm too tall for that. nor do I particularly like alcohol or mining or the dark...

Nichijou is the only anime I may concede is better than Azumanga Daioh.

Though Osaka is still my favorite character of any media of any time of any place. I actually understood most of her non-sequiturs, excepting one or two about the Japanese language and writing.

Non sequiturs are imo easier to understand than genuinely linked trails of thought, because not understanding one part doesn't preclude you from understanding the rest.
