Just took a nighttime walk around the apartment complex I'm planning on moving into.  Let's just say I had some doubts.  Now I couldn't be more impressed.

Also, probably soon gonna be incommunicado for a week or two for the same reason.  Not that anybody cares, but I notice people always feel the need to tell The Internet went they won't be passively reacting to other people's posts for a while.

Should you lock down the Election Thread before you go? That could get nasty in a hurry with no warning. Also, I care. (;_;)

Sunday: Applied for a job at Wal-Mart.

Monday: Got a call for an interview on Tuesday.

Tuesday: Got interviewed, got told to take a drug test immediately after interview.

Wednesday: Got a call saying that orientation is on Thursday, see you there.

I'm not sure if they're desperate, or if I'm just that good.

Either way, I'm getting a paycheck, so...

I love how you can hear the clicks of the controller almost as well as the music.

The worst part is, those aren't the clicks of a controller. Those are clunks of plastic strings being strummed. It's annoying.

Wal-mart, in my experience, simply doesn't believe in wasting time. They wouldn't be so rich if they wasted precious time.

Don't know what the job is for you, but even if you're just part time - aim for manager. Do well and you should at least have your own department with two months, and you can easily get a manager role in 6.

Time is money, and with Wal-Mart's (advertised) savings, not wasting time is more money they could be making.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I just hope that transferring to a different store is painless. My dad's retiring from the military next year and moving, so I can't stay in our apartment unless I join the military (And even then they'd probably kick me out). I'd like to stick with a single job through the rest of my schooling (Both my resume and my bank account need it), and Wal-Mart, in spite of being Wal-Mart, is both everywhere and accommodating with school schedules. Plus, its starting pay is even better than my last two retail jobs, so I'm pretty happy.

I wouldn't say painless. It's certainly better than a franchise, and I've known them to at least make an effort, but you might end up just having to apply.

That said, being a recent employee and remaining in good standing is like an auto-in for most applicants if the reason for leaving is justifiable. And relocation is.
