I've figured out how to type Japanese phonetically with just the keyboard instead of having to hunt and peck out of the character map. +1 to tech savviness.

I've left my computer in Japanese locale just because there are so many things that wouldn't work if I didn't.  So I get yen symbols for slashes now.

You people must have weird-looking filepaths with that.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I started a new diet, a couple days ago, and am feeling surprisingly good. It's a diet of the "time to get healthy" variety rather than the weight-loss variety, so I still sneak in acceptably happy amounts of junk food. The biggest change has been energy and mood - It's amazing what eating more fruits, vegetables, and vitamin supplements can do.

As a side note, remind me to make major diet changes in degrees rather than diving straight into it. My stomach is probably off posting in the "wtf" thread right now.

So I just completed Analogue:A Hate Story. It was a sad, sad, story, I cried a bit, but it was also a good one, and I really liked the way the story was presented.

Spoiler: slight spoilers (click to show/hide)
In short, an unusual visual novel about social inequality that I think Vector might like... or perhaps she'd hate it, I dunno.

This actually related to Digital: A Love Story in anything but name? Same people, or references, or something?

I thought it was an interesting speciality from beforehand, but every day I spend at the department I'm finding out that it's far wider than I initially thought. I think I hit jackpot with this match

Where did you end up, by the way? Did you get in where you wanted to?

Actually, I got into a larger hemato department (as in, four to five times as many specialists) than the one I'd been asking in. Not that the latter was bad at all, mind you, it had a few interesting things that mine doesn't, but the contrary is also true, plus quantity is a quality of it's own in this kind of thing, so I think the center I actually got does actually rate better than the other one in general, I think. Plus I'm geographically close enough to be able to consider making some rotations in it without too much bother (they're like 500m apart).
