Things I learned today: if you're an English speaker who wants to add another one on to the list of languages you speak, try Afrikaans. Not counting Scots (which isn't a real language anyway) or useless auxlangs like Esperanto, it's the easiest language to learn, by a long shot.

Difficult. You have to learn an entirely different alphabet. Plus it has a complex declension system like Old English or Latin.

I wonder how hard Frisian is for an English speaker. Probably easier than Afrikaans since it's more closely related to English than Dutch is. Way more useless though.

Just finished watching Redline. That was by far the most beautifully-animated movie I have ever seen, and I will be very pleasantly surprised if it's surpassed any time soon.

But the Cyrillic alphabet is beautiful! D:

And Russian itself is a very nice sounding language
