Ehndras, what kind of electro are you into?

*Provides the link to my youtube because I'm too lazy to go on a multi-paragraph explanation of my upbringing of Classical music, ascension to Electronica though my older brother's former raver/breakdancing days, and my profound love of goth rock and Power/Melo-Tech Death/Black/Prog/Etc Metal.*

Because sorting through the absolute chaos of my youtube favorites playlist will answer more intimate questions regarding my tastes and sanity than any discourse ever will.

I tried this chatroulete thing

My God you are awesome.  Since it's anonymous anyway, I might keep that one.

I know Evangelion is old news, but I just watched my first episode/movie. I saw bizarre Christian symbolism, office buildings that spat out guns, and quite a bit of angst, not to mention the most insane, gruesome, and high-octane mech combat in existence.

I loved every second of it :D

What I meant was, it's been around in various forms for years. Most people who're interested in the genre have probably seen it by now.

Tomorrow I'm starting an internship in New York for 10 weeks. I probably won't have much personal computer access during that time, so I guess this is goodbye for a little time. Good times gents, looking forward to coming back.

Good luck, Duke, your presence will be missed. Tell New York I said hi.

I live 20 minutes from Manhattan. The only thing I dislike about NYC is how everyone pretends to not notice anyone else. Its fucking depressing how insignificant everyone is in NYC if you're used to some sort of eye contact or attention. :P

Acquired really hot salsa to attempt to suppress this cough long enough to sleep tonight. Dunno how well, if at all, it will work, but it will at least be interesting either way. :P
But alas, my attempt ended in failure. While excessively hot salsa does stop all coughing and clear my sinuses, the effect ends at the same time as the burning sensation does. As soon as my tongue and mouth stop feeling like they are on fire, the coughing returns. You have bested me once more, throat-tickle!

But tomorrow today, I shall leave campus and acquire Pseudoephedrine based medicine. Then you shall know fear! I hope. I had a second person mention 3 weeks from a similar throat-tickle; I really don't want it for another 2 weeks.

Have fun in NY. Having spent a fair amount of time there myself (not to mention was born there (not too far away from the city, at least)), it's a bit overwhelming at first, but then eventually, you'll get a feel for how things flow around there, and be able to go with the flow with little worry. Just keep a good focus on your destination, and you should be able to minimize unwanted random encounters; provided you also keep minimal eye contact. Another good tip is to plan ahead; especially when going to a small shop or deli for some good eating. People tend to be rapid-pace much of the time, and the people working the places are used to it. In-out-done and any signs of being an out-of-towner ought to remain in the neutral at least.

New York is actually a pretty interesting place once you get over the 'fish out of water' effect, and no longer feel out of place; but I guess that applies to most places anyhow. After enough time spent there, you might actually miss it and want to visit it again. Although, that could be a bit biased, seeing as I have a bunch of relatives that hang around there.
