YES I FINALLY BEAT THE AI IN AGE OF MYTHOLOGY ON MODERATE
Surprisingly, it was with Loki and not one of my better deities like Isis or something. I'm finally getting it!
Seriously though, the Easiest difficulty is way way way too easy and then the next step up, Moderate, is suddenly way better. Actually, it's kind of like Age of Kings, which I can actually handle. Wow I must suck.

Spoiler: cheapass tactic insine (click to show/hide)

1. Make ballistae
2. Get a bunch of cannon fodder ulfsarks/huskarls. Also bring trolls or throwing axemen for extra defense.
3. Get Jarls to kill any archers and myth units that come near.
4. Set them all to stand ground around the ballistae, safely out of range of any towers or forts. Use them as a human wall.
5. Wait until the ballistae destroy all the buildings.
6. Once buildings are destroyed and squishy villagers are revealed, KILL THEM ALL

I just don't play very well with the Norse. Except I actually do.
I agree though, Loki is the best of the Norse gods because one of his Mythic Age choices is Hel, and Hel is really awesome. Thor is second because he does the dwarfy thing, and that leaves poor Odin as last by default.

I still like making crusades against villagers and economic buildings first, cut off their supply (and make them spend a little more to replace; especially with the woodcutters down), or at least slow them down; and while that's going on with my decoy forces (also getting a forecast of their armies/defenders), I build up an army of battering rams, their guardians, and a series of blockade runners to strangle the forces towards their towns.

Then again, I'm too used to playing AoK and SWGB and think that as a viable tactic.

Been watching Reboot. This show is so cheesy. And wonderful. Nostalgia, you are a powerful force, indeed. On the other hand, one of the villains is a crazy cat lady with no face who expresses her emotions through a variety of masks. I wish I could make shit like this up. The only sadness is that Netflix only has the first two seasons.

So, it seems that out of my uni, I'm pretty much the 'Second Guy To Go To' in terms of boyfriend material (First place goes to a model/actor who is absurdly buff, to the point that it makes every other male in the room feel embarrassed)... The amount of flirting that went on was ludicrous, I'm on the verge of having to fight them off!

So clearly I'm doing something right with my appearance, and my few remaining vestiges of acne are not affecting this as I had feared.

What boggles my mind is just... how... DIFFERENT uni is to Tafe, and indeed to highschool...
