Watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan for the first time. (Well, it did make me happy until things got depressing; currently on episode 8 or 9, can't quite remember which.)

 It's a bit of a slog after that sad episode yeah. Kittan steps up, which is appreciated, and the end of the 'season' is very nicely done. Then it's a bit of a slog for a few episodes again before going even further beyond.

I just finished my first Pratchett book and I did it in fewer than 8 hours (total time spent reading)

I'm considering Hogfather, as I hear that Death is the main character, and I quite enjoy him, but I'm not sure.)

Anyways, regarding the Joseph Kony and LRA thing, the group that is organizing it (Invisible Children) came to my school earlier this year. What will be great if someone in the government is smart enough to realize what's going on and comment on it before April.

I looked at 2 "interesting" houses today.

Both are more than I wanted to spend, but everything that costs less has been total crap. Excepting utilities and commute issues, both houses cost the same. And its the same price as my lil sister was paying for a ghetto apartment in New Orleans.

1:
Perks: 12 minutes from work. literally close enough to the gulf to smell the water. HUGE! My bedroom in the place would be as large as my current apartment. My parents could have 2 rooms to themselves, with a fenced yard for their dog. There are no less than 3 sheds in the back to store stuff. Plus there are 2 extra rooms in front I have no idea what to do with, 3 porches and a huge outdoor masonry bbq grill. Nearly every room has built in woodwork and cabinetry.

Flaws: House is very old, fairly sure that one of the "sheds" used to be an outhouse, and I am sure that the electric bill will be high. The neighborhood is near a mill with a chemical odor in the air. My parents want to sell ceramics out of the 2 extra rooms up front. Despite being so close to the gulf, no beach access, all the shoreline is private property. "Rich" neighborhood, both my parents and I will be out of place.

2:
Perks: Nearly brand new house. Right sized, security system. Middle class neighborhood.

Flaws: Less parking, less storage. Once combining my stuff and my parents stuff, I will pretty much only have a normal sized bedroom as my me space. 25 minutes from work.

Do you mean someone in the government step in and stop Invisible Children / not let the go to schools to talk to people?
or do you mean someone in the government comment on whats going on in africa?
because if thats what you meant, Obama has already commented on the subject a while ago, and I don't feel he should have to say anything over again because you weren't paying attention the first time he said it.

Someone I know actually got a book published. That's pretty good I think, the proceeds go to a scholarship fund. I don't know the title is, so buy all the books you can people, it has a slim chance of being for a good cause!
