Just finished blasting my way through the first few levels of Descent; The first one. I've never played before now and having found the power cable for my joystick I'm using that. I'm hilariously bad but hopefully I'll get used to the joystick.

I got a new bookcase recently which means I have room to store things. The lack of space was getting to be a real problem.

I feel pretty good about the math exam I just took.  Studying does pay off!  I got around a 70 hopefully from my calculations.  Which is like a B to my professor.

That wraps up examinations this quarter. Overall I didn't study as much as I wanted to, or as much as I should. Not because I was prohibited, but just because of, well... Apathy creeping up...

BUT! I took the exams, and I blazed through them both, more or less. I will be surprised to see anything lower than a B, and not surprised to see two A's. Having been pretty active throughout the quarter means that it doesn't matter that I didn't recap everything: I knew it all already.

So now I have little under two weeks of holiday. I've already printed out new sheets for me to play on the piano and I'm rushing forward. Learnt two pages (easy, but still) worth of happy little music in something like half an hour to an hour. I've got a total of 3 pieces set up to learn before classes resume, and at this rate I'll be over them before then! I was expecting to only reach maybe one and a half of them. I haven't really practiced hard since the beginning of summer break, and I didn't know I missed it so much.

And I am starting to see the effects of me working out now. It's not much, but it's definitely there now. My arms are slightly thicker, my chest is slightly wider and all that jazz. Next week I'm going to pump the exercise up a notch, which should speed it up further. But the goal of me being buff and shexy by spring is looking very much realistic.
