Touhou is one of the best ways to drive yourself and your roommates crazy.

Repetitive electronic music and dying every 6 seconds on extra levels. My third roommate almost punted my Touhou playing roommate's laptop by the end of the semester.

Also, any advice on getting better? I have Imperishable Night (I think, there's a boss/miniboss that makes the screen steadily darker) and suck all kinds of balls at it. Even on medium.

Advice for getting better is to NOT play Imperishable Night~
If anything, it'll make your skills drop~
Perfect Cherry Blossom is a good choice, because it makes you better at streaming~
The second game, Story of Eastern Wonderland is a good one too, and if you want a copy, PM me and I'll hook you up, because you need an emulator~
Seriously though, avoid IN~
You want to start off diving headfirst into Lunatic, THEN switching to normal after getting your ass handed to you~

One more thing, if you want to get better, but don't mind playing non-touhou games, check out rRootage and Warning Forever~

FRAPS shows a solid 60 FPS on Lunatic Mode on the demo. I, of course, didn't make it past level 1, but hey.
