I'm not a believer in miracles.

Never the less, one hell of a miracle happened today.

Me and my partners realized we had the wrong topic for a group presentation in my general engineering class on the very day we were supposed to present it. It was the wrong topic entirely, we'd have bombed the whole project and I'd be struggling the rest of the semester to even keep a passing grade.

Just as we were about to present, at almost t-10 seconds, the fire alarm went off. The subway (sandwiches) in the hall's center area accidentally set it's panini grill on fire. because of this, we weren't able to finish class, and me and my partners now have an extra day to redo our assignment.

That's pretty fucking crazy right there.

That's pretty good timing. Also, moral lesson learnt: For next assignment, hire someone to set of the fire alarm in case you make a similar mistake.

Did one of your groupmates step out for a bathroom break prior to the alleged grill fire? :P

I'm not saying it was a miracle, but...

...it was a miracle.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

You must make an appropriate offering at the Temple of Jared, lest his favor turn away from you.

Hrm Wednesdays.  :|  I'm busy...

But, talked to my grandfather over the phone last night.  I haven't heard from him since my birthday.

Soon enough, he'll have hair so big, it will destroy us all!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's like the life cycle of my hair, except it's missing the part where I get forced to have a haircut.
I'm currently at about picture 2.
