I think I'm going to bother her tomorrow evening and ask her about the other books she read for her introductory Humanities course in college, because I feel like I've missed out on something good as a technical major.

Wait, asking Thyme for advice on something?  Admitting that I don't know as much as she does?  Without even thinking about it?

Am I--am I growing up?  Is this Vector turning into something other than an envious wreck?

...

Yeah, I'll stop massaging my own ego now.

I finally got around to watching Firefly, which I've just managed not to do for the longest time. I finally wasn't distracted from it somewhere within the first ten minutes.

I also just finished Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality on this forum's suggestion. And I enjoyed it more than I figured I would.

And, to join in the current fun: 5'8" 150lbs

Now you have to watched everything else Whedon has ever made, up to and including every episode of Buffy and Doctor Horrible.

Did I state my weight and height yet? 6', ~125lbs. Too tall for how skinny I am. I managed to gain a couple pounds by eating meat again. Now I can fit into some of my shorts :'D

Looking at Dr. Horrible, I have to watch it. The other stuff doesn't really excite me much.

Hey, weight and height. I think I'm like 5'11" and 125 pounds. Give or take three pounds; nothing I do seems to change it that drastically.
We should form a club.
Hey, according to the doctor I just went to, I either shrank, or their measuring tools are wildly inaccurate. ~5'7" and 120, right now. Last year I was 5'8.5" and 125. Jeegus. But yeah, we could be the stickpeople club. Perhaps the BMI-17.5 club.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

5'11.5 and 145-ish. half an inch and five pounds from Solifuge, whose grandparents apparently live less than three miles from me. And one of my grandparents lives about three miles from me. In the same direction.

Also, XC practices began this week (Technically begins on the tenth, but daily practices began this week). Running with people is so much more fun than running alone, even if I am a pretty bad runner.

Also also, college applications. They're hell, but they remind me how close I am to going to college.

Damn, I wish mine would start up already, but I have until the 22nd to wait. Running alone is getting more and more boring, what with the cougars and bears taking all the cool runs.

Of course not, I meant that we could probably all break sticks with our foreheads. It'd be a fun pastime.
