A) Why do you need to have all the ribbons? You only need to get through without killing anything (Krotera gets skipped and Asha is skippable too), but then again I never got past Stage 5

When I got to where Asha had Dan, Iji killed the Komato behind her and Asha killed Dan.  It counted that one I killed.  I don't know what else I could've done differently other than finding all the ribbons

Also, something odd I noticed.  Did you notice that there are only three male characters in the game?  Dan, Krotera, General Tor.  The only one of those that's really reasonable is Tor.  Dan's sort of reasonable, I guess.  All the other characters are female, and of those only one of them is a jerk (Iosa, sort of.)  I always thought that was odd.  Nothing wrong with it, but it's kind of a jarring change from what you usually see.

That's not good news because I saved.  I still have to do the whole game over again if I want the good ending.  Dammit, I'm mad >:C

Honestly if you look at Iji, from certain viewpoints no one is reasonable. Even Iji is either sparing genocidal maniacs or becoming one herself.

I came to a conclusion that the game is if anything a subversion of the typical "Aliens invade save the world" story. No one is saved, no one is sane, nothing you do matters and there's no hope anymore. Even the best ending has an air of hopelessness about it you can cut with a knife.

And Ill be honest, I love the game for this.

Not in Touhou it isn't, which is my big issue with it. I don't like the opposite end of the spectrum, either. But purely (Or almost purely) one gender is utter bullshit, and I'm very likely to hate stuff because of it. I'm borderline on Iji, because the games actually takes some steps to justify it, though.

Yeah, your supposed to use the trap mine there. If you do, the mine will kill the Komato, but it will not count as a kill, so you can still go through with a zero kill count.

To be honest, even if you spare the Komato, looking at their psychological profile, they're really facing an imminent massive civil war that will make their genocidal campaign against the Tasen look like a laser-tag game.

I was just playing through it a bit ago and I could swear I came across one of the datapads mentioning Asha using a female adjective. My memory is generally terribad so don't take that as a fact.

Also in happy stuff, I traded in something I didn't want for something I didn't want, but it was a decent trade in terms of value. I then went somewhere else and returned the trade for equal value and applied it to what I originally wanted. This is against their company policy however, but the clerk didn't seem to notice despite it being on the receipt. I'm pretty friggin' stoked about it.

I recall the logs calling Asha a he. Plus, the official guide on the developer's site uses male pronouns when talking about Asha.

Here's the Enterprise before that one :/  They changed a few things, but seriously there's not a big difference in my opinion... Er I should note I'm a trekkie, and a rather ornery one too when it comes to every Star Trek thing made since that TV series called Enterprise.
