Ya, noob LP is much more interesting than pro LP. With someone who knows what they are doing, it's little more than 'I do x, y, z, and then I win.' With someone who hasn't the foggiest idea, there is much more room for interesting content; it isn't formulaic or planned out to make maximum use of game mechanics and is generally more organic.

I found exception with the "Let's Sneak" series for Thief on youtube. She was SO good, I learnt a whole bunch of new tricks for that game.

I guess some games reward "style" more :)

Hmm.  May have to get to actually broadcasting that MGS runthrough, then.

Let's plays are all about entertainment value.

Sure, informative ones that power right through can be great - but the best ones are half-incompetence with style.

Spun more fire in SF last night, went to tea bar until midnight, and then burritos at 2 in the morning.

Today I woke up way late to do work.

Let's plays are best when silly. Thus I can't get enough Raocow despite his stuff being 80% Super Mario World hacks. I really wonder if he's gonna play New Super Marisa Land eventually though.

Raocow?  Never heard of that guy.  Gotta check it out, thanks!

Hey, this guy actually translates stuff.  It's amazing that I don't know anybody else that even does this.  :P

I've seen Raocow before. I can't stand his voice, sadly.

I was going to just to post some pictures on the Play With Your Buddies forum, but with this kinda support I may just actually put it in video. I'd still have the topic, since I know some people will want to have victims soldiers named after them.

Raocow has this really annoying voice that somehow works excellently for what he does.

It's baffling.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
