Seriously, the Danish language was written by five year olds.

Lithuanian can be stupid at times too. You know words like "doggie" instead of "dog" or "kittie" instead of "cat"? Lithuanian has that form for each word. "Chair-ie", "soup-ie", freaking "lung cancer-ie", "nuclear genocid-ie". And it's not -ie in Lithuanian. It's -elis, -ele, -yte, -elyte, -ukas, -iukas, -utis, -ute,anything else I missed...and you have to know what you use with each word. Thank god no on actually speaks like that. When I put it like that, it kind of sounds like "ye olde Englishe".

The fact that the Slavic languages tend to do this is one of my very favorite things about them.

Also, the awesome being spread in this thread made me happy today.

"ye olde Englishe".

Fun fact: in Middle English, ye is actually þe, but þ in cursive (like on a sign) looks like a y.
So it's not Ye Shoppe, it's The Shoppe.

In Russian it's kind of cute. In Lithuanian it's just retarded. Probably because Lithuanian isn't Slavic.

Wait... Baltic, then?

Sorry, I'm not quite sure where the divisions are supposed to be on that.  In any case, yeah, I think it's pretty cute in Russian =/

Baltic. Ironically, Estonia is a Baltic country, but their language is more like Swedish or something. Lithuania and Latvia are the only countries that speak Baltic. And Latvian is to Lithuanian what Ukrainian is to Russian but not as much.

Estonian is same family as Finnish.
I like Estonia.
Apparently, they wanted to change the internationally recognised name to Estland.
Dunno what came of that, though.

The Australian language is basically made up, on the spot, as we go, and it works.
Right on ya, pommy English's a loada fuckin' crock. Real fuckin' blokes doon't yabber like cunty whingebags.

All I learned from my Aussie friend was obtuse slang. :P and to drop 'fuck' into every other phrase.
