What, no pokemon? That was like THE coolkid game to have in the late 90's.

I remember my first RPG now. Kings Quest VIII. Is supposed to be an Adventure game, but ugh.

My first real RPG would then either be Ocarina of Time or Golden Sun.

I still remember the first time I beat pokemon red. Garrys Blastoise had destroyed all but one of my pokemon, I had but a single hope left. Then a smile widened across my face, as my last pokemon was raichu, who promptly destroyed that turtle.

I remember the first time I played pokemon. Gold version, and I had somehow come to the conclusion that if a pokemon's HP reached zero, you couldn't use them again.

That's right: I did a kind of modified Nuzlocke challenge the first time I played the game. And won.




On another note: Due to a combination of being absent, miscommunications with the teacher, and sheer dumb luck, a missing assignment that had single-handedly brought my English grade to its knees was removed from consideration.

My first RPG-ish game was Beyond Oasis. Hugely underappreciated game, and that's not just the nostalgia talking. Unless you count the NES Zelda games, I played those first. My first pure RPG was Chrono Trigger I think? Certainly the first one I beat.

IN OTHER NEWS : I get to make a poster/mindmap thing about comic books for my popular culture class. I just cut made a 28x18 inch bat symbol, I am pretty proud of it. First year classes are silly.
