For some reason, I'm now imagining the ways in which reduction to 0 charisma could result in instant death.

Coma.

Wait, wait, I think I understand. The elephant's eye is black with several white dots, representing the universe. The elephant "watches" with it's eye, making the elephant god. The tusk is white, representing the purity and power of God the Elephant. The trunk is sucking affectionately on a happy girl, representing Elegod's love and connection to mankind. The girl is wearing a school uniform, representing that Elegod likes traditional values to be preserved.

Janet, I'd never mark you as the type to use such subtle symbolism.

You failed to comment on how the humanity-representing girl reaches out for the Elegod's tusk - she doesn't look at him, signifying that He's unknowable, but she feels(believes in) the presence of the tusk and reaches out unerringly.

Also, the Elegod causes humanity to adapt to changes, as shown by how the suction deforms the eye socket, though the child is not subject to incredible pain.

Am I the only one who sees a loli about to be savagely tortured by an elephant demon?

That's a rather far-flung interpretation. May as well say it all symbolizes the various types of insects in the world and their interactions. There just isn't any symbol that supports this idea.

TNT is running its requisite Pirates of the Caribbean marathon.  I like these movies far more than I have any particular right to.

Also knocked out the first paper of the semester.
