It's pretty easy to imagine.  I loved the shit out of Harvest Moon, and it's like that but less grind and more gamble.

Also, I suck out loud at it.  My jaw hit the floor when I saw the $80,000 due-note on Week 3.  I pulled it off with 6K to spare, after I fucked myself over getting the thief-chick KO'd in Amber Garden.

Then I saw the Week 4 note for $200,000.  I stopped playing then.  What the holy mother of shit am I supposed to do with that.

You keep your merchant level when you lose. I couldn't make that payment the first time through... but I had 1,000,000 by that point the second time.

My Java teacher gave a few things to do, and if (when) I get them done, I'll be exempt from an hour of Java class meaning I can take another awesome class.

I beat all 48 levels of Rhythm Tengoku today, on Perfect level. Was rather proud of myself.

Heard an interview with William Gibson on the local NPR station, cause he's in town for a book reading.

Yay for mind-expanding chit-chat on my lunch break.

Minecraft is still free (for now) and so I can play to my heart's content since I semi-finished writing my 2000 word essay. :D
Also, its RIT's Humans vs Zombies week. ~700 people in a massive, campus wide game which lasts an entire week, with humans armed with nerf guns of all varieties.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Lawrence Hill (author of The Book of Negroes) was a guest speaker at my writing class today! After nervously answering some really generic questions about "what's it like to be a professional writer" etc. etc. in this funny shy kind of way, I started asking him about how he felt adapting his book into a screenplay and how to decide what to focus on and what to cut and so on and he got really excited and vibrant! Was a really cool guy actually, I talked to him a bit after class too. Normally literary types kind of put me off because I'm scared they'll think they're more intellectual than myself but Lawrence was just a regular guy who was really insightful and approachable.

Almost makes me feel better about the fact that the right sound output refuses to work on my laptop. Almost.
