I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Team Magma members have the best uniforms.

The best of everything.

Woke up, had crepes, went to class and managed to be reasonably successful at "acting" (by which I mean that I haven't fallen off the stage.  Yet).  Also started reading Bridget Jones' Diary, which is brilliantly humorous.  My room is nearly clean, I have Seirei no Moribito out of the library, and a stack of Indian cookbooks by my elbow to look for rice recipes in.

Yup!  Good day.

Spent half an hour before class discussing Tommy Wiseau's crippling fear of women and how it manifests itself in The Room with my favourite professor.

After you finish reading that, do be sure to pass me a few review-y words about that book, and how it compares to the anime. If you'd be so kind, that is.
I'm assuming it's the book, and not some manga.

ed: oh, hey, right. Happy thing - watched Rushmore. Feels good on many levels.

I finally found out how and when to meet the group of politco-nerds, including a few cute chicks, who invited me to join some months ago.  Lazy demagogues didn't get their club organized until a month after the start of the semester.  Oh well, it'll be good to see them again.

Is it just me, or does the expression change?

Since the shades (and shade monocle?) take the place of eyebrows, the expressions are different.  Though they're all vaguely irritated and nonplussed.  I'm honestly considering adopting one.

Leaving class today, a cute girl with glasses caught my eye, as she rolled past on what looked like a homemade skateboard. She then sat down at a table by the library and started reading from a sci-fi anthology.

<3

I really wanted to sit down nearby, and try to strike up a conversation... but I was already in a hurry to get to my next class. If I see her again, I'm going to have to finagle some time for it. Something about the whole combination made me squee inside.

Make sure you don't squee on the outside too.

No no no... the outside is an aura of friendly, though mysterious manliness, regardless of any internal "Oh my goodness so much adorable eclecticism! :DDD".

No, this is just the anime.  The local library is amazing.

I watched a train go by today. A scruffy-looking man leaning out one of the freight cars waved at me. For whatever reason, it made me happy.

Also, reinstalled Silent Hill 3. Damn near my favorite game, this one.
