Either you used the wrong word there, or you just did something very obscene.

... Jumped into the... what?

Indeed.

I imagine he means the vehicle he would be/is using is in a condition that could get him in trouble. Fairly certain that there are laws about things like taillights that don't work.

Less entertaining as an interpretation, perhaps, somewhat more likely, I think.

Doesn't have registration yet, maybe?

I want to get a Smart Car sheerly for the purpose of fitting it with some huge V8 turbocharged engine. Or liquid-fuel rockets.

It is Friday night.

I am reading the archives of X-Men fanfic recommended by TvTropes.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this.

During my workout, I punched Cthulhu in the face.

Granted, it was this one, but still

That was refreshing.

I want to get an Electric Car sheerly for the purpose of not bleeding myself dry to buy gasoline.

Researchers at Tokyo University, along with some help from Sony, created a device that straps onto your arm, sort of like a blood pressure cuff, and sends electrical signals to your fingers that can move them in precise ways.
Your hands can now be controlled by someone else over the internet. The future is now yesterday.
An entertaining new excuse for people caught in mid-masturbation.
