I have no camera and I'd be doing myself a massive, massive disservice with my history if I ever took anything I could potentially forget to scrub for geolocation. I haven't done a lot lately thanks to my state of mind but I've made a few black powder weapons from scratch and tuned the imperfections out of a colt walker reproduction.

You can largely scrub metadata from photos by popping them into Photoshop and saving them as a new file. (Save for Web/Devices, set metadata to "none"/72PPI.) I don't know if that helps at all, but hopefully it does.
