I swear some people are so fucking stupid... Have you ever heard someone tell a depressed person to "just get over it". 

It could be worse, if you ever told my mother that you think you might commit suicide she would threaten to burn you in a bonfire in the backyard so that you would know what hell feels like.

Well, nonbelievers used to go to limbo (except, of course, in the case of suicide.  That's always a one-way ticket to the hot place).   But since the pope abolished limbo, I guess we're headed for hell.   Boy, we'd better get back on track now!

There are certain items of religious logic that really, really confuse me at times.

I've wondered, when the Pope decided Limbo doesn't exist anymore (who knew a conclave of Bishops could give a mortal man power over the construction of the universe?) what happened to all the people that were already in Limbo?  I heard it was where especially unbaptized babies went.  Did they just get cut loose in space, or did they all go to Heaven, or did they have to file through another judgment line?

Supposedly all unbaptized babies now go directly to heaven.

The circuitous implication in that though, is that if a parent is desperately concerned about their child going to Heaven their safest bet is to kill it before it has a chance to sin.

I wonder if that came up in the Pontiff's "What's Limbo For?" symposium.

I know that the internet really values opinions, but my opinion on the matter is that life *might* be a one time thing and it *might* be no better where you end up. So you might as well live your life as long as you can (even if things majorly suck the pooch) simply because the end result is so uncertain you don't want to have wasted what you have now.
