what fireball? he failed to concentrate a 4 wold of got a fireball that was out of control 5 would of had a controlled one and a 6 would have probably killed someone. magic take at least a 4 to use if you dont learn it (thats just me i guess...)

Reroll done for his action everyone else keeps theirs.  Sorry about the confusion, squirrel please discuss this sort of thing directly with the GM if you have problems with a roll.

No I think the same way, except I normally have a 6 overshot on magic, damage the caster in some way if they didn't learn the spell since they put to much energy into it, and it either A. Drained all their power then fizzled or B.Over loaded and pushed the energy backwards into the caster frying their nerves.  If you want to go the (hits someone else rule) I would only think that it would kill if the defending player rolled a 1 in defense.

A partial success at casting fireball should result in at least some sort of fire.  And that's if you don't consider the fact that he's a intelligent librarian. If you include those, he should have had no problem following the book's instruction.

whoops realized i didn't right it out he had [2+1(libraian)+1{intelegence)-1(loud noises)=3]

would of had -2 since he specified loud noises as a weakness and a chest shattering is kinda loud but i decided to give him -1 instead for taking Insensitive

Also, I'd say you should have us roll initiative at the beginning.

If you're not familiar with rolling for initiative, you basically roll a d20 (any dice would work, but with so many players you'd want a large # of possibilities) to determine in what order the actions are done. The order goes from highest roll to lowest.  That way the last guy posting won't always have his action invalidated by an earlier player.

You'd actually roll initiative at the beginning of every round (technically, you'd do it once per battle, but we aren't fighting here).

Logically, it would be the person nearest to the chest at the time of your action.

It would probably be Frelock. It'd fit quite well too, since he tried to search the chest got a 2.

i ask for a random number between 1-7 from random. then take the list remove the person in action and compare it. the number shows me who.

And by twitch you said: "twitch (really quick reactions, also makes me have a hard time staying really still.) in my head you are like a wire strung to tight and snaps easily when you ambush people or need to get in a quick move you get +1 but when something surprises you you overreact to it.
