Aren't there Windows themes that take care of icons and taskbars? Like the GTK themes in GNOME.

Also, you need icon files. GIMP can edit those i think.

Question, I'm making some custom icons and want to know the maximum size an icon can be.

Laptop running windows 7, 12024x768 resolution.

I THINK It gets scaled, though they should definitely be square.

Cool, but the actual dimensions would be good so I can make it to fit and not have it slightly pixilated.

Well that harshly depends on what zoom level you use...

Just a few Touhou fangames. And then some.
And i suck at every single one of them, except maybe the latter 4 (and even then I used cheat engine on labyrinth because a) I got tired of farming and b)it's almost a sport at shrinemaiden.org)

Sorta.
If I remember correctly, you need to do some really easy registry editing to get Windows to recognize them.

My drawers are also a little more organised, but I'm too lazy to take a screenshot of them.

Spoiler: I lied, here they are. (click to show/hide)

for a long time it was 32x32, but i think they bumped it up to 64x64 in Vista
you can always screenshot it and measure to be sure
