FAQ says it will have a MMO version and a offline version.
I am so happy now.
I want this done, NOW.
I may be wrong, but I don't think there's an offline version planned anymore. However, they do plan on selling the engine to 3rd paries, so someone else might make one.
Can somebody post some servers? I can't access their page with the list.
It keeps crshing when i try to start it up...
1) what you are trying to play is a combat prototype made to test how combat could work, it doesn't have landing on planets or anything, just a bunch of different-sized ships and a few asteroids. Think counter-strike with spaceships. It's not really representative of the game. You might already know that, just clearing it up.
2) ATI/amd cards can't play it anymore. If you have an Nvidia card and still want to give it a shot, there is a
.exe in your installation folder that will launch your own server. Load it up and connect to 127.0.0.1 (localhost)
Now about the actual game:
The main dev decided to further develop the engine (
I-Novae ) so he can license it to 3rd parties which will in turn generate funds to make Infinity a proper game.
In other words the actual game is on hold. Think 2014+
I'm confident it will be completed in some form *eventually*
The 2nd, (relatively new) dev's twitter:
