This was the post I was thinking of, as he linked directly to the exact spot.

Go Sergarr!

Bonus material: If John's next task involves delivering the W1TN3SS somewhere, this would be the best place.

OK, so now Terezi has the glasses.

That means that Gamzee won't have the glasses.

That means that Karkat will be able to contact Terezi, and tell her about Gamzee problem.

Which means that she won't blame Vriska for it, which means - Oh shit.

Additonal theorizing:

Jade disappeared in the alpha timeline and is either dead or asleep right now. Who do we know who can put humans to sleep?

The mayor will certainly play a seriously big role in the upcoming events... there was a big prophetic dream about that.

According to the wiki:
Quote
Near the end of his dream, he saw a "weird bug," which turned out to be a miniature version of god tier Vriska, who kicked him in the snout and told WV not to interfere with her fight with Jack, as she wanted to be the one to kill him. She also spoke in Morse Code, but still with a recognizable typing quirk. This was apparently a joint dream bubble Vriska had with WV shortly before she was challenged by Tavros.
I guess that's what's being referred to?

Come on come on come on.....
I probably jinxed it by predicting it.

I wonder, can retcon abilities affect Furthest Ring?

Is the Furthest Ring in the story?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It is, kinda. But I don't think we ever saw a retcon affecting that place directly before.

There's also the fact that all that Vriska's character development cannot be simply retconned away. And the chances of that are increasing, since all recent retcons seem to target her death.

Didn't Terezi wind up killing Vriska because she was going to head off to fight Bec Noir?  Reason for going up there could easily be change to needing to getting her to fight Gamzee.

She doesn't need to go find Vriska in person if she has the glasses.

She takes them off later in the main timeline, just before she tries to bring Tavros back to life.
