I thought since cue ball was most likely used to alchemize doc scratch, the 8-ball would be used to alchemize something anti-"green sun".

Nah, no reason for that.

I know this may seem like an odd thing to say, but Homestuck really isn't that complicated, which is to say it's less complicated than people seem to think.

The Cue Ball is LE's weakness. This has been shown a couple of times, first with Hussie saying that Scratch's cue ball revolver is his "one weakness" and then with Jade saying that Caledfwlch (which is made from a Cue Ball) can harm him.

I would guess the Cue Ball is somehow tuned in to the Clockwork Majyyks, based on the fact that the Clockwork Majyyks are super important to LE (I.E literally everything we've ever seen of LE is him decked out in Clockwork Majyyk-themed gear, shotting Clockwork Majyyk lasers and ordering Clockwork Majyyk-empowered people)

It seemed to be more related to the horrorterrors, really. I mean it managed the whole grimdark thing, and in 'Seer: Ask' the colours were the same used for the horrorterror tunnel thing in Jade: Wake Up.

The Cue Ball managed the grimdark thing and had the horroterror stuff because Rose specifically asked about the horrorterrors.

Yes, it did. Are you saying that clockwork majyyks are above all the other types of supernatural stuff we've seen so far then? Since the cueball's also tied pretty strongly to the green sun. If it's some sort of all-encompassing power then it would make sense that it displays properties of the subset of power that the particular application is relevant to.

We know that Hope can challenge LE though, which begs the question just how powerful hope is. It overpowered the little green sun mistress, Jade.

Somebody should make a total list of all things that can potentially be used against LE.

Right now it's

1) crowbar and that doll (Slick said that it could be useful against LE)
2) cueball
3) hope

what else

4) retcon??? probably not
5) hussie????????

he's been very useful while dead

he brought the life ring from gods know where

the same ring that caused the whole GAME OVER to happen

also the only reason why he didn't annihilate LE right there was because Doc had only 1 cueball in his gun. Otherwise LE would've been 100% DEAD

Life ring is the White Queen's ring from the Void Session. No idea how Hussie got a hold of it though.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
