And so, Vriska learned that the only way to be brought back to life was to marry Andrew Hussie.
Just as planned.

Or at least beat him up and steal his bling.

In kinda' idle retrospect... why didn't she do that in the first place? Kind of a Vriska-y thing to do, methinks.

We totally called there being another way for a character to be brought back to life. It was always going to be this way. Unless, of course, it turns out otherwise. Which would be entirely expected, so in turn we would expect it not to happen. But because we're expecting it not to happen, it will end up happening. But we were expecting that, so Hussie will again subvert our expectations and.... Grfff.

my brain just imploded

That really describes any programming.

Don't forget to hit the "replay" button on the john-walks-between-the-parties flash!

Isn't John currently holding that very ring?

I think we can be fairly confident that the ring taken by the prospective Thief of Life, then by the Rogue of Void, from a void session, that makes people invisible, is the Ring of Void. Similarly the Ring of Life, found in a desert by some chumps.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
