He is going to brag a little and then something will happen that I won't have expected in any way. Because this is how it goes.

I'm expecting some bragging, some jeering and just a teeny bit of twisted, yet sincere, sympathy worked in there somewhere. I also expect him to try to suggest that she and Roxy naughty (which would be by Caliborn standards something completely appropriate).

Awww look at the little hate goblin, he thinks he's complementing her.

Also people who have dealt with verbal abuse a lot are taking this update badly. Although Hussie's humor has always been straight not caring about sensitivities.

Caliborn is just getting pathetic. I just want to send him off to some dark corner where he won't embarrass himself.

And to think that a couple weeks ago, we were actually sympathetic for him.  A little bit still even.

I gotta admit, Jane's reactions are pretty great, but why she's even still online except to keep the joke going I can't fathom.

Hussie, I really have no clue where you're trying to take Caliborn.

Exactly the same place he made him: An offensive weird immature skeleton the kids are gonna beat up

I understand people feeling uncomfortable with this, but surprised? This is pretty much the crap he was doing with Dirk. Creepy sexual offense and everything.

I saw today's update, and gasped in sheer hilarity and surprise. But then I kept gasping in a sort of hyperventilating way for about ten seconds.

And then I stopped, realizing that I don't even want to know what the rest of my house thought I was doing in here. I blame the creepy green guy.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

The secret you haven't all realized yet:
From Vriska to Jack Noir to Calliborn, the story has alternated between generating sympathy for these characters, and suddenly reminding you they are ruthless, cruel, and generally messed up.

Basically, Hussie's goal is to make readers undergo a forced non-stop quadrant vacillation with his 'tagonists.

But they were all established as ruthless monsters, it's just that subsequent updates do everything they can to make the characters sympathetic

And then massive fandom outrage when he reminds us of their introductions

The best part is that he did it wrong.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
