Or maybe he thought that that was just the flavor troll coffee was supposed to have? Also, it's blood, I think it would taste bloody. Then again, maybe it somehow DOES taste like peanut butter. Who knows, maybe different colors come with their own flavors, that happen to correspond with the colors of certain Earth foods (that may or may not be present on Alternia).

If it did taste like blood, maybe she just didn't like the taste. Personally I don't mind the taste of it, but maybe she's never had to taste any and expected it to taste like food or be flavorless.

Blood tastes like metal (at least mine does), and I know I don't care for the taste.

Considering how blood works, Tavros' would probably taste slightly different than ours, but not by much I'd imagine. Unless a large part of your average troll's diet is metal.
