I think you need to watch the part of Cascade when The Tumor detonated again. The Tumor created the Green Sun when it exploded, not infect it.

Even if that did happen at the end of whatever was going on, it was quite vaque and it seems to me more than that must have been going on.

I don't really see how it was vague. We see the moon with the Tumor in it in the middle of nowhere, it explodes, and then we see the sun form and expand. Hussie also explained it on his new tumblr that what we saw was the sun's creation.

 Dave is slightly less cool and slightly different of an insufferable prick away from being Eridan. They kinda match up with contrasting personalities that are not that different at all.
