Why does Applesaucemachine look like a hot dog with limbs?
Because I forgot to rake a look at my reference.
I refuse to believe that. You are a hot dog, that is fact.
Clearly, my physique is just more rounded because I am a female. I wanted to make it more realistic. Clearly.
That is not round, that is oblong. You know it to be true.
I'm short-statured. Not everyone is tall like Bro and Jeff are, you know.

True, but you certainly seem to have quite the lady hump.

Also, that is a king's crown, not a queen's crown. A queen's crown is more apple-like in the fact it is closed at the top.

not accuracy.

Spoiler: But is this better? (click to show/hide)

hurr hurr what is emotion?

Seriously, though. The guy's made of stone. He only cries when crocodiles are throwing onions at him while he boils alive.

Dave is far too cool to show emotion at something as commonplace as his only family member dying. We know he's sad about it deep down, though. He admitted that when one of the dead Daves spoke with Aradia in the dream bubble. I guess telling obscene jokes to alien girls is just his way of grieving.

How does one pull a sword out of a dead bro, ironically?

Obviously bro glows all magic and shit, and levitates the sword up, out, and making a bloody mess.

Then his ghost personally bequeaths the sword to dave.

All of you people saying Strider is made of stone don't know what you're talking about.  Parse it out, read between the lines, remember who is he, remember how he's looked and talked when he's freaked out before.  Especially all of his "I'm no hero" business.  He "loved" his Bro the way one might any other hard parent, not affection but grudging respect.  And he's breaking down, because the guy he's always had to measure himself against, and always thought of as a larger-than-life badass even when he was filming puppet porn, bit the big one.  If he had the time to react, his sense of his own mortality would be fucking him up more than throwing his own corpse out a window did - he believe he's worthless, he believed Bro was invincible.

In case it isn't obvious yet, I love Dave, and I've spent an unhealthy amount of time thinking about what goes on inside the dude's head.

How does one pull a sword out of a dead bro, ironically?

He's not.  He's going to break the blade, taking half of it, leaving the bloody half where it is.

I don't think he's going to take the blade at all. Remember this conversation?

It's one thing to not care at all.

But it takes serious balls to put up a facade of not caring now, and then go cry later.

It's obvious that he's hurting, but would it kill him to show it? Or admit it?

Maintaining an ironic facade seems like an unhealthy thing to do right now.

I think Dave's reaction is meant to be unhealthy. His obsession with irony is on par with his own Bro's, except I think Bro would have had the decency to break the charade for his dead little bro-son. He acts cool but the fact is he and the other kids are socially maladjusted.

He was raised by Bro to be an ironic roof ninja, not a healthy, well-adjusted adult.
