Yeah, all the sizes on that image are too small. The shortest possible is at least 5'2". I too support the tall!Jade movement, though.

5 foot tall at age thirteen isn't really short. At all.

I picture John (and Dad) as being a bit stocky, like a wrestler or street brawler.
The kind of guy who, if he were born in a fantasy setting, would wear iron pants and wield a morningstar.

When Homestuck first started, and John was the only character art we had seen, I thought he'd be a slightly stocky little nerdy guy.  I mean, look at him.

I was working on these for a total of about 5-6 hours. Each one took around an hour to an hour and 20 minutes to make. They're posted in the order that I drew them in.

Man, I've had this song stuck in my head all day.
