This is probably the most annoying self insert yet, not least because it is filtered through jpeg artifacts. I'm not sure whether to be angry at Andrew for it, or whether to be angry at Andrew for deliberately making me angry at him, and then I realize that I am already hopelessly tangled in his Moebious double reacharound mind games. It is too late to turn back now. We are in his thrall, and all that remains to be seen is whether he makes good of his promises to not deliberately ruin the story.

I'm trying to understand what Hussie was saying here. Is he saying that from here on out, he intends to let suggested actions carry the rest of the story, reserving the right to steer the plot at only one point? Also, when he says "forces that could render everyone in all real and hypothetical universes to give a shit," what exactly does he mean? Is it just an internal story reference, or does he also mean that allowing too much unfiltered reader control could ruin the story, causing his characters (in the hypothetical universe) to be too random and fickle, acting on the whims of every nonsense suggestion such that they don't appear to care; and causing the readers (in the real universe) to be ultimately disappointed by the resulting craptastic narrative such that they don't care about it?

The image was precisely one yard high, though, if measured brokeways.

Edit: Rose mentioned a secret backdoor exit to the furthest ring. I wonder if that's the window in Jade's house? It'd fit with the Problem Sleuth reference too.

Ah well, I guess it really was just a self-indulgent insert about self-indulgent inserts, asking the readership to excuse such self-indulgence because he won't go overboard with it.

I took the first few sentences in a different direction, which leads to a different reading of the thing. It made me hopeful for less executive control for a little bit, but then I remembered this was a webcomic written by a troll.
